Role in This Project:

As a sub-contractor to Hitachi, K&J will be providing NIMS/ICS 700 training and three (3) exercises – two tabletop exercises and one full scale exercise.

2022 Planned Activities

  • Develop and provide a Full-Scale Exercise and After-Action Report for all rail employees
  • Provide on-scene scenario observers for revenue testing program

2021 Planned Activities

  • Develop and deliver Road Worker Protection (RWP) training program
  • Provided additional (3rd) TTX exercise in HSEEP format
  • Updated the Hitachi Rail Honolulu (HRH) Emergency Management Plan
    • Updated all sections of the HRH Plan
      • Identified key HRH staff
      • Added ICS responsibilities
      • Added a section to describe the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Process (HSEEP)
      • Added the Hawaii Essential Support Functions (ESFs)
      • Added a section to describe the different types of drills and exercises
    • Provided better alignment with the DTS, City, and County of Honolulu, and State of Hawaii Emergency Management Plans
    • Updated the O&M Provider – Safety Plan
      • Provided better alignment with the DTS Transit Agency Rail Safety Plan (TARSP)
      • Provided better alignment with the HDOT Program Standards and Procedures

2020

  • Developed and delivered two (2) tabletop exercises in HSEEP format
  • Provided After Action Reports and Implementation Plan 
  • Provided NIMS/ICS training to employees

2019
