1. Safety and security certification activities for GCRTA's Stations Phase II reconstruction project for the following Heavy and/or Light Rail Stations:

  • Field assessment and update existing from the Euclid Corridor Transportation Project (ECTP) that relate to the reconfigured Public Square specifically focusing on bus operations around Public Square and along Superior Avenue
  • Identify any changes in the bus operational safety risks if Superior Avenue remains closed or re-opened as originally designed for bus only traffic
  • Identify any new safety risks for the Public Square common areas based on current conditions of the new square configuration
  • Identify any significant security vulnerabilities for Public Square as a whole that includes Part I and Part II crimes, quality of life violations, and potential terrorist threats development of a PHA for the reopening of Public Square to GCRTA Transit traffic and a Security Assessment to identify any significant security vulnerabilities for Public Square


2015-2016

    • C06: Bus maintenance Facilities, Hayden Garage and Central Bus Maintenance Facility
    • Rapid Transit Vehicle (RTV) acquisition, 20 articulated low-floor vehicles that utilize diesel/electric technology to provide electric power for propulsion
    • RTV Operational Requirements; Training, Rules, and Procedures
    • Euclid Corridor Operational Requirements; Training Rules, and Procedures

Other related certification tasks accomplished:

  • Prepared the Fire Life Safety Plan
  • Developed emergency response drills/training and emergency incident table top exercise with local responders
  • Developed Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHAs) for utilizing 40ft buses without a precision docking arm system on the ECTP right hand discharge median station platforms
  • Converted non-resolved ECTP PHAs to Operational Hazard Analysis (OHAs) for the development of new rules and procedures
  • Development of Certifiable Items Lists (CILs) for 7 construction packages
  • Prepared the Threat and Vulnerability Assessment (TVA)
