K & J Safety and Security Consulting Services, Inc. has successfully completed the Safety and Security Certification requirements for the RTD Civic Center Station Renovation Project in Denver, Colorado. The Certification Certificate for Revenue Service was issued on December 15, 2017, and the Final Verification Report was submitted on February 1, 2018.
On Sunday, January 21, 2018, at 0800 K & J Safety and Security Consulting Services Inc. administered a Full Scale Exercise (FSX) for Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) Blue Line Extension (BLE). The purpose of this exercise was to ensure CATS was prepared for an emergency if it were to take place in the portal leading up to the University of North Carolina Charlotte (UNCC) campus. K & J Safety and Security Consulting Services recently helped Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) conducted a full-scale exercise for the Main Street Trolley Line on June 21, 2017. The scenario was a motor vehicle accident with an operating trolley. Two young intoxicated individuals had previously stolen a vehicle and were driving at a high rate of speed when they crashed head on into the trolley. As a sub-consultant to STV, K & J Consulting was informed by our prime that we were awarded a 3 year safety support contract to assist Amtrak with their system safety, safety management, occupational safety and safety engineering support needs. Notice to Proceed (NTP) is expected to be received shortly by our prime with onsite activities expected to start in late April or early May at the Beach Grove Shops. K & J Consulting is greatly looking forward to partnering and working with STV on this project!
