Completion of Orange Tilikum Bridge

The Orange Tilikum Bridge lime lapse video is a component of the Portland Milwaukie Light Rail Project in Portland, OR. This is a new multi-purpose bridge across the Willamette River exclusively designed for light rail trains, buses, cyclists, pedestrians, and streetcars. The bridge does not accommodate private vehicles, although the structure is designed to allow emergency responders to drive on it as needed. K & J Safety and Security Consulting Services was contracted by Tri-Met to perform a Preliminary Hazards Analysis (PHA) and a Threat and Vulnerability Assessment (TVA) as part of the Project Safety and Security Certification Program. Specific safety hazards and security vulnerabilities, identified from both the PHA and TVA respectively, were reviewed and considered during the final design phase of the project. The Milwaukie Light Rail Transit Line opened on September 12, 2015.
